About Us

You might not be the only visitors here. Did you know that The Bull’s Head is rumoured to be haunted? They say the ghost of an unknown lime kiln worker dwells here in July and August. Let us know if you encounter our supernatural guest!

Join us for a pint or some hearty home-made food at The Bull’s Head. We’re waiting to take your order.

On a winter’s day, you can step into our cosy country pub and sit by a log fire, with one of our Daniel Thwaites ales in hand, and leave the cold outside. When the summer sun is shining, swap the log fire for a seat in the beer garden and soak up the heat with a Sauvignon Blanc and other tasty tipples.

We brew up to five different ales here each month, and you’ll only find them in our pubs, inns and hotels, so if you’re tired of the same old, same old, this is your chance to try something different. Cask ales are a passion and a tradition at Thwaites and we’ve won awards for our ales. Come on in and see how we earned the approval of the voters. The proof is in the pudding!

Being a traditional country pub, we like to serve simple home-cooked dishes, which we prepare our dishes with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Combine these with flare of our talented chefs and you have flavoursome meals that exude true West Midland character. The menu changes regularly, too. Why not skip ‘the usual’ and try something new?

We’re a dog-friendly, family-friendly pub and will we’ll have a warm smile for the kids and a friendly pat on the head for your canine pals. We also welcome cyclists and walkers, so if you’re looking to cool down after a hard day’s hiking or biking, we’re just the place to visit and quench your thirst.

If you like what you’ve seen or experienced with us, why not explore some of our sister hotels and inns? We’re proud to be part of the House of Daniel Thwaites - a wonderful collective of unique places to visit that are spread across Britain, from the Lakes down to the south coast.

We’re all surprisingly different but united by our desire to offer superb hospitality in our fabulous properties.
